PEDIA SIM
The Pedia sim offers highly developed paediatric models that generate realistic and automated responses to interventions and drug administration. It can simulate crisis medical situations testing students for both their clinical and non-technical skills and their ability to work effectively under pressure. Medical emergencies such as anaphylaxis, acute myocardial infarction, major haemorrhage and shock states respond physiologically to treatments.
It features:
- Highly precise computer modelling of human physiology and pharmacology
- Eyes that blink, open and close in response to conscious levels, and pupils that react to light
- Audible heart beat and sounds. Arrhythmias and cardiac arrest programmes respond to CPR and defibrillation protocols
- The respiratory programme includes breath sounds.
